PENGUIN POPULATION COLLAPSING

According to the National Geographic, penguins are rapidly disappearing from the face of the Earth: “Over the past 50 years, the population of Antarctic emperor penguins has declined by 50 percent”, claims NG.

A BioScience article entitled, “Penguins as Maritime Sentinels”, suggests this decrease in population may be due to global warming and other environmental hardships. To find out more click here

NEW ZEALAND REPTILE THREATENED BY GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is threatening the existence of an ancient New Zealand reptile. The Tuatara, already an endangered species, will only be able to produce male offspring by 2085 as temperatures rise. This would obviously have a detrimental effect on their ability to procreate….
